About Me

The ゴルフクラブ Set consists of irons individually engineered, resulting in the enhancement of multiple club properties that promote distance, uniform distance-gaps, increased playability and better sound and feel. A multi-functional sole lowers the center of gravity and reduces turf-drag to make it easy to launch shots high and long, while the inverted cone in each clubface is strategically sized and shaped center of gravity location in each head is precision-placed to optimize long-, middle- and short-iron flight; high-coefficient of restitution faces promote fast ball speed for long distance in the long-irons.

Are Burners Good Beginner Clubs?

When looking for your first set of golf clubs (or replacements to the ones you bought at a garage sale to learn on) you can’t go past the Taylormade Burner range of clubs. Starting with the original Burner 1.0 Irons, The Burner Plus or the new Burner 2.0 irons, the whole range features some great features for beginner and amateur players who need clubs with forgiveness.
All Burner irons are cavity backed and feature Oversize club heads. Making the clubhead bigger means you have more actual face on the club to hit with, and the cavity backing gives the clubs a larger ‘sweet spot’ meaning you are hitting the ball longer, more often. Even the rare mishits travel a good distance. As a beginner you should only be considering easy to hit cavity backed clubs.
Burner irons have what is called a  ’uniform gapping distance’. This fancy term simply means that the clubs are designed so when you hit the different irons with the same swing, the difference between how far each club hits is the same. For example, if you can hit an 8 iron 100 yards and the 7 iron 110 yards, then expect to be hitting the 6 iron 120 yards and the 9 iron 90 yards. This feature makes it easier to be picking which club is best suited to each shot on the course. No more misjudging and coming up short, or going too long and overshooting the green.
Perhaps the best way to decide if Taylormade Burners are right for you is to have a look what other purchasers are saying about them. Below I’ve compiled some reviews for TaylorMade Burner irons that I’ve found on Amazon. While they are screenshots, you can click each review and go to the individual review page I’ve taken it from.

  1. have hit many GI irons in last 2 years. The best brand by far is taylormade with the 2.0 being very good....the burner 1.0 is better in that it is a little more precise.....never did hit 09 burners....ping stings when struck like they sound; Callaways are garbage; Mizuno is junk; Titleist better stick with balls; Clevelands and Cobras are OK if you get your fitting correct....Taylormade puts a great combination of head and shaft together......I was truly amazed how sweet burner 1.0 irons with uniflex steel shafts are....so much for youtube gurus...there are no reviews for 1.0 burners...as bad as us government...a bunch of crooks.
